Welcome to your final weekly roundup of everything new on Netflix US for July 2026! As we prepare to cross over into August, Netflix is closing out the month with a very respectable 38 new releases (20 movies and 18 series) added to the US library over the past seven days.
Whether you are looking for the epic conclusion to a major musical blockbuster, a heavy dose of 90s horror nostalgia (thanks to a massive drop of the Scream franchise), or a soapy neo-Western binge, this week’s lineup has plenty to keep your queue full all weekend long.
If you want to start prepping for what’s to come in August, we’ve got your full preview of everything coming up here.
Before we dive into the Top 10 data to see what subscribers have actually been watching, let’s take a look at our three streaming highlights for the week:
Best New Movies and Shows on Netflix This Week
Wicked: For Good (2025)
Type: Movie
Genre: Musical, Fantasy | Runtime: 2h 17m
The highly anticipated cinematic conclusion to the Broadway sensation has finally arrived on Netflix following its initial partial stint on Peacock. Starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, this spectacular follow-up delves into the emotional fallout of Elphaba and Glinda’s friendship as the Wicked Witch of the West is hunted across Oz. Featuring soaring vocals, breathtaking visuals, and an emotional climax, it is the undeniable movie event of the weekend.
Ransom Canyon (Season 2)
Type: TV Series
Genre: Drama, Romance, Western
Netflix’s soapy, neo-Western hit is back for a second season! Starring Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly, the show returns to the picturesque Texas Hill Country, where rival ranching dynasties vie for power, legacy, and land. If you are a fan of shows like Virgin River, Sweet Magnolias, or Yellowstone, this dramatic, slow-burn romance is the perfect weekend binge.
Ordinary Angels (2024)
Type: Movie
Genre: Drama, True Story | Runtime: 1h 58m
Based on a remarkable true story, this incredibly heartwarming film is guaranteed to be a tearjerker. Hilary Swank stars as a fierce but struggling Kentucky hairdresser who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she decides to rally her entire community to help a widowed father (Alan Ritchson) save the life of his critically ill young daughter. It’s an inspiring, uplifting drama that is already making major waves on the Netflix charts.
