Amazon has added to its lineup of Alexa-enabled devices, with five new products, including a new Echo Show and an Alexa-enabled photo frame.
First is the next generation Echo Dot, the compact, spherical speaker that can be used in any room of the house. With the newest generation, a full-range driver built into the housing creates more back volume for crisp vocals and 50% more bass than the last generation. The new model is also powered by AZ3, Amazon’s custom-designed silicon, which allows for quicker and more natural conversations with Alexa+. The Echo Dot now has a fourth microphone, VoiceID to recognize different family members, sensors to detect things like the indoor temperature, and a smart home hub to connect and control devices. The Echo Dot is now available for $99.99 and an Amazon Kids Echo Dot is available for $109.99.
The Echo Studio has a high-excursion woofer that delivers deep, immersive bass and three optimally placed full-range drivers and Dolby Atmos to fill the room with immersive spatial audio. Amazon has also added Advanced Room Adaptation, which adjusts the sound to your space based on the room’s acoustics, so you’re always listening at the right volume. And with a built-in camera, the Echo Studio will now use Alexa to help keep an eye on your home when you’re away. The Echo Studio with Home Camera is now available for $249.99.
The next new product is the Echo Time, a customizable smart clock designed to be used as an alarm clock. The device has a customizable display and no camera, so you can feel safe keeping it on your nightstand. Sleep sensing technology will sense when you’re in a lighter sleep stage and will wake you within 10 to 60 minutes of your scheduled alarm, using light that mimics a natural sunrise and a tone that builds gently to help ease you awake. The Echo Time is now available for $199.99.
The Alexa Photo Frame is a smart frame that connects to your Amazon Photos and syncs automatically so your favorite memories are always on display. Alexa scans the photos for your best shots at any given time, based on expressions and the time of year. A 10-inch anti-glare touchscreen makes every picture look crisp and vibrant from any angle. The Alexa Photo Frame is available now for $229.99.
Finally, is the Echo Show 16. The newest generation has 20% more power for interactions that feel fast. The 16-inch high-definition screen is nearly 40% thinner with 10% more viewing area, and has less glare than previous versions. The new model also has the full Fire TV experience built in. The Echo Show 16 is available for preorder today starting at $499.99.
