Plex Adds 5 New Free Live TV Channels

Plex has added five new free live channels to its growing FAST service, giving viewers more options across legal comedy, lifestyle programming, true crime, sports, and niche entertainment. The channels now appearing in the Live TV guide are Franklin x bash, Chrome thillee, Crime scene TV, Tennis TV, and Swagtg. They join a catalog that already exceeds 600 ad-supported linear streams available on smart TVs, streaming devices, phones, tablets, and the web without a paid subscription.

Franklin x bash brings a continuous rotation of the legal comedy series about two unconventional lawyers who mix courtroom theatrics with personal banter. The channel runs full episodes in sequence so viewers can follow case after case, office politics, and the pair’s offbeat approach to the law. The format suits both longtime fans who want a dedicated destination and new viewers who can drop in at any point. Because the stream is linear, it recreates the old appointment-viewing feel while remaining completely free.

Chrome thillee adds a distinct visual and lifestyle flavor. The channel focuses on design-forward programming, polished production, and contemporary culture pieces that emphasize style, urban environments, and creative work. Segments move between short-form features and longer blocks, giving the lineup a modern, high-contrast look that stands apart from more traditional documentary or sitcom channels. It expands the lifestyle and aesthetics corner of the Plex guide for users who prefer visually driven content over plot-heavy drama.

Crime scene TV concentrates on investigations, case files, and reconstructions of real events. Documentaries, interview-driven series, and forensic-focused programs cycle throughout the day and night. The channel is aimed at viewers who already watch true-crime programming on other free services and now have another 24-hour option inside the same app they use for personal media libraries. Continuous playback means a new case or follow-up report is always starting soon.

Tennis TV supplies match highlights, archive footage, player profiles, and tournament coverage. The channel covers professional circuits, historic matches, and analysis segments so tennis fans can watch without hunting across multiple sports apps. Replays and original packages fill the hours between live or recently completed events, making it useful both during major tournaments and in the off-season. It sits alongside other sports-oriented free channels already on the platform.

Swagtg rounds out the batch with a mix of entertainment, personality-driven segments, and shorter-form clips that lean into current pop-culture energy. The programming is lighter and more variety-oriented than the crime or legal channels, offering a change of pace for viewers flipping through the guide. Its presence shows Plex continuing to test niche and youth-leaning concepts rather than only adding well-known catalog titles.

These five channels follow a pattern Plex has maintained through 2026 of regular, often quiet expansions. Earlier in the year the service added themed Warner Bros. channels, science and gardening streams, family dramas, baking competitions, and additional true-crime and sports options. The result is one of the largest free live-TV lineups among major apps, frequently compared with The Roku Channel in sheer volume. Users do not need a Plex Pass to watch the free live channels; an account is optional for most of the free content.

Availability remains device-agnostic. The same channels appear in the Plex app on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Samsung and LG smart TVs, game consoles, and mobile operating systems. Advertisements support the streams so the channels stay free. Picture quality and stability depend on the user’s internet connection and the device’s player, consistent with the rest of the live-TV section.

The additions also sit next to Plex’s original strength: organizing a household’s own movie and TV files. Viewers can switch from a personal library to Franklin x bash or Tennis TV without leaving the app. That combination of owned media plus hundreds of free linear channels continues to distinguish the service from pure free platforms that lack a media-server component.

For cord cutters the practical effect is another set of destinations that cost nothing extra. Someone interested in courtroom comedy can leave Franklin x bash running. A true-crime viewer can stay on Crime scene TV for hours. Tennis fans gain a dedicated feed. The remaining two channels fill style and variety gaps. Together they illustrate how free lineups keep growing by mixing recognizable series with more specialized or newly packaged brands.

Plex has not framed the five additions as a major marketing event. They simply appeared in the guide, following the same incremental approach used for earlier 2026 drops. Users who already browse Live TV will find the new names listed among the hundreds of other free options. Those who have not checked the section recently now have five more reasons to open it. The channels are live now and require no additional sign-up beyond what most people already use to run the Plex app.
