Gold Derby is serving up Big Brother 28 spoilers all summer long. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Soon after Chuk Anyanwu was evicted from the BB28 house, the remaining contestants (not counting outgoing Head of Household LaTrice “Lala” Verrett) took part in the Week 6 HOH competition: Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, Dee Valladares, Drew Campbell, Haley Thogmartin, Kamu Kirk, Mallory Aurichio, Melody Morris, Rick Devens, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel.
When the live feeds turned back on around 10:30 p.m. PT, Yash was seen wearing the HOH key, meaning the financial analyst from N.J. has all the power this week.
As Head of Household, Yash has to nominate three players for eviction by putting them on the chopping block. The 24-year-old has less than a day to confer with their allies and make their decision before the nominations ceremony takes place Friday afternoon. (CBS will show the proceedings on Sunday night.)
Starved after a live eviction and HOH competition, the ravenous houseguests raided the kitchen for cheese dip and Doritos — and anything else they could get their hands on. The pantry became whisper central, with Drew, Mallory, and Melody already gaming out who Yash might put on the block. Their early guesses? Angela, Dee, and Haley should be sweating. Mallory, for her part, says the other side of the house “had their time” — and now it’s time for change.
Here’s a quick recap of all of the important milestones so far on BB28:
| HOH | Time Capsule | Veto | Block Buster | Evicted | |
| Week 1 | Dee | None | Mallory | Yash | Ashley Trail |
| Week 2 | Devens | Angela (Hard Boiled-Detective) | Devens | Jason | Rome Seymour |
| Week 3 | Kamu | Devens (Diamond Power of Veto) | Lyric | Mallory | Jason De Puy |
| Week 4 | Haley | Dee (BB Bribe) | Taylor | Drew | Lyric Medeiros |
| Week 5 | LaTrice | Mallory (Adam and Eve) | Kamu | Haley | Chuk Anyanwu |
| Week 6 | Yash Patel | TBD | TBD | TBD | TBD |
After Chuk exited the house, he had a one-on-one chat with Julie Chen Moonves where he admitted it was “unreal” how quickly the Toolshed alliance fell apart. He stands by his assessment that Lala is “playing the game confused” because even Taylor told him that she doesn’t think Lala knows what she’s doing.
