Russell Brand has been found guilty of three counts of sexual assault and one count of rape, and now details have been revealed about his possible prison time.
The allegations that Russell faced in court were concerning incidents that happened between 1999 and 2009. He faced seven charges involving six women, but wasn’t found guilty on all of them.
After the guilty verdict was reached, Russell was taken into custody and he will remain there until he is sentenced on Monday, November 9. He was denied bail.

Kirsty Brimelow, the chair of the Bar Council, spoke to Sky News about the sentencing.
She believes that Russell will get “between six and nine years” in prison.
“The decision on bail is up to the judge. At the point of conviction, there’s no right to bail, under the Bail Act, which there is, prior to when somebody has not been convicted. Different rules apply and different considerations,” Kirsty said about why he was denied bail.
She added, “It’s quite usual for a judge to consider, the sentence is going to be one of imprisonment and it’s going to be a substantial term of imprisonment, so you might as well start serving your time now.”
