Following the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros., resulting in a combined company called Skydance, the company has been shuffling leadership, eliminating some roles and reassigning others.
Reuters reported Tuesday that a memo was sent out to staff, naming Sarah Bergman, executive vice president of networks and streaming distribution for Warner Bros Discovery, and Mickey Carter, executive vice president of US distribution for Paramount, as the leaders of its distribution business.
The memo also shared the news that eight executives will be leaving the company – Rivka Golomb, Kelly Kane, Jeff Cross and Rich Palermo from WBD and David Comisar, Kurt Davis, Deena Demasi and Ken Kay from Paramount.
Seven others will be taking on executive roles. According to reporting from Variety, Brad Shipley Executive VP of business development and strategy will be in charge of strategy, partnerships, Pluto TV, and FAST distribution, as well as Skydance Global Sports Group; Patrick Cavanaugh, CFO, will be in charge of streaming negotiations; Rick Baker, EVP, deputy general counsel will lead business and legal for linear and streaming; Joe Bahr, SVP, partner operations will be in charge of partner operations issues; Andrew Borak, SVP, will lead marketing; Bob Aguanno, SVP, CBS affiliate relations will work with the CBS Network affiliate board to manage the relationships with affiliate TV stations; and John Bagwell, SVP, will lead general counsel to negotiate contracts with the affiliates.
The updated leadership placements follow last month’s news that Skydance offers buyouts to some employees.
