Disney+ has begun rolling out a significant language expansion, adding support for six new languages across its interface, subtitles, and dubbing on selected titles. The update introduces Arabic, Croatian, Hebrew, Indonesian, Malay, and Thai as available options, allowing subscribers in those language communities to navigate the service and access more content in their preferred languages.
The new languages apply first to the Disney+ interface itself. Users can switch their profile language by going to Edit Profile, selecting Language, and choosing from the newly available options. This change is designed to make menus, settings, and browsing more accessible for non-English speakers without requiring them to rely solely on English-language navigation.
Subtitle and dubbing support is also included for selected titles, though availability is not universal. Disney+ has indicated that not every title currently offers subtitles or audio tracks in the newly added languages, and options may differ from one piece of content to another. To check what is available for a specific title, viewers are directed to start playing the title and then open the audio and subtitles settings within the player, where the supported language choices for that particular program or film will appear.
The expansion targets several major language groups. Arabic is widely spoken across the Middle East and North Africa. Indonesian and Malay serve large audiences in Southeast Asia. Hebrew and Croatian address specific communities in the Middle East and Europe, while Thai covers speakers in Thailand. By pairing interface localization with selective content localization, the update aims to reduce barriers for international subscribers who prefer to consume entertainment in their native languages.
Disney+ has not announced a full catalog of titles that will receive the new subtitle and dubbing tracks, nor has it provided a timeline for broader availability beyond the current selected titles. The company has emphasized that language options will continue to vary by individual program, film, or series. Subscribers interested in the update can already access the interface language changes on their profiles and are advised to check individual titles for subtitle and audio support as they watch.
The language rollout represents one of the more substantial accessibility updates Disney+ has introduced for non-English users in recent periods. It expands the practical reach of the service’s library for audiences who previously had more limited options for interface and content localization. As the platform continues to add titles over time, the number of programs offering the new languages is expected to grow, though the pace and scope of that growth have not been detailed. For now, the update gives eligible subscribers a clearer path to using Disney+ in Arabic, Croatian, Hebrew, Indonesian, Malay, or Thai for both navigation and selected viewing.
