Frndly TV, the low-cost live television streaming service focused on family-oriented programming and now owned by Roku, has removed multiple channels from its lineup during 2026. The changes affect both national specialty networks and local broadcast stations that the service had only recently introduced in select markets.
Among the channels no longer available are WHDT, the independent station serving the West Palm Beach area of South Florida on channel 9; WMYD, the CW affiliate in the Detroit market on channel 20; CraftsyTV; and Envoy TV. WHDT and WMYD had been part of a limited expansion into local independent or non-Big Four stations that Frndly TV began offering in certain designated market areas. Those additions had been presented as a way for subscribers in those regions to access local news, community programming, and additional content without a traditional antenna or a more expensive live TV bundle.
CraftsyTV, which joined the service around late 2024 after an earlier announcement, featured instructional programming on crafts, sewing, and DIY projects. Envoy TV, added in October 2025, offered documentaries, cultural stories, and lifestyle content that aligned with the service’s emphasis on uplifting or educational material. Their removal reduces the number of options in the lifestyle and specialty categories that sit alongside core channels such as Hallmark networks, A&E, History, Lifetime, MeTV, and The Weather Channel.
Streaming services frequently adjust lineups as contracts expire, viewership data shifts, or ownership priorities change. Frndly TV has a history of such moves, having previously dropped channels including AccuWeather, Waypoint TV, Recipe.TV, and others while adding networks such as Ion Plus, Cleo TV, Reelz, WEST, MovieSphere Gold, and Envoy TV itself. The service maintains a relatively compact roster of roughly 50 to 60 channels across its Basic, Classic, and Premium plans, which start near $9 per month and emphasize affordability over a broad cable-style selection. It does not carry major broadcast networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, or Fox, nor does it include sports packages or premium movie channels.
The latest removals leave subscribers in the affected South Florida and Detroit markets without those local feeds through the service, while viewers who used CraftsyTV or Envoy TV lose those specific streams. Remaining local access, where still offered, continues in a handful of other markets through independent stations, and Local Now remains available more broadly for news and weather-style programming. Frndly TV continues to promote its core lineup of comfort and family channels, along with cloud DVR on higher tiers and 72-hour lookback features.
The changes underscore the fluid nature of channel carriage on budget streaming platforms, where recently added options can disappear as agreements are renegotiated or content strategies evolve. Subscribers checking the current guide or channel list on the Frndly TV app or website will see the updated selection reflecting these departures.
