Hallmark Channel stars are supporting Juan Pablo Di Pace in his Broadway debut!
The 47-year-old actor is currently playing a limited run in the Tony-winning musical Schmigadoon, performing the role Doc during original cast member Ivan Hernandez‘s scheduled four-week leave of absence.
Juan Pablo is performing in the show through Sunday, November 22. Schmigadoon was originally planned as a limited engagement on Broadway, but due to demand, it has extended through April 2027 and is now considered an open-ended run.
The show is based on the acclaimed Apple TV series of the same name. It stars Tony Award nominees Alex Brightman and Sara Chase as Josh Skinner and Melissa Gimble, a couple who accidentally wanders into Schmigadoon – the magical town where every day is a musical. Everybody has a song for everything, the corn is as high as an elephant’s eye, and the only bridge out of town leads nowhere. Melissa and Josh soon discover the only way to escape is by finding true love—which may or may not be with each other.
During his first week of shows, Juan Pablo was visited by two fellow Hallmark stars who he has worked with in the past.
Sarah Drew and Peter Porte both made visits to the Nederlander Theatre to catch the show!
Sarah wrote on her Instagram Stories, “Schmigadoon was AMAZING and my dearest Juan Pablo Di Pace was INCREDIBLE in his Broadway debut!!” She added, “Such a fun night at the theater.
For those who don’t know, Sarah and Juan Pablo previously worked together in the 2024 Hallmark movie Branching Out.
Juan Pablo and Peter starred in the LGBTQ+ rom-com movie Dashing in December, which aired on Paramount+ back in 2020.
This year, you can catch all three of them in Christmas projects on Hallmark Channel.
The third season of Sarah‘s series Mistletoe Murders premieres on Thursday, November 5. Juan Pablo‘s new movie Holiday Unplugged airs on Saturday, November 7. Peter‘s new movie The Most Wonderful Secret will debut on Saturday, November 28.
